I personally think interceptors themselves are in a good place and it’s the ability to use them in an integrated instawarping fleet that makes them toxic. If they could make any interdiction nullified ship automatically opt out of fleet warp (and make them unable to opt in) I think they’d suddenly stop being an huge issue in entosis contests.
